HERITAGE CARE FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN

Children are the future caretakers of our cultural heritage. To fully comprehend their role and responsibility in this matter it is imperative that they develop a healthy interest in the matter and an empathic bond with objects of all kind.

Heritage care for schoolchildren involves short sessions of information regarding history, production, use and structure of different materials, and how to care for them. In combination with practical hands-on work such as making a little book and handling different materials these sessions lay the groundwork for responsible handling and management of cultural heritage later in life.

This is what we do:

On demand we organize heritage care for schoolchildren in relation to paper and book. Subjects are making and marbling of paper, making a small book, initiation to calligraphy. The sessions take in account the age of the children involved.
